Assassin's Creed Reveals Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A mysterious encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes echo through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.
The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Bonus Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an unique katana in addition to several artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
